Bor Tiger Reserve is a wildlife sanctuary which was declared as a tiger reserve in July 2014. It is located near Hingani in Wardha District in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is a home to a variety of wild animals. The reserve covers an area of 138.12 sq.km which includes the drainage basin of the Bor Dam.Bor Tiger Reserve is centrally located among several other Bengal Tiger habitats including: Pench Tiger Reserve Maharashtra to the northeast; Nagzira Navegaon Tiger Reserve, to the east northeast; Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary, to the east southeast; Tadoba - Andhari Tiger Reserve to the southeast; Melghat Tiger Reserve to the west northwest and Satpura National Park and Tiger Reserve to the northwest.

Bor Tiger Reserve is spread on an area of 121.1 sq kms. It came into being after the notification of the Maharashtra government in the year 1970. This sanctuary represents the flora and fauna of varied forms of Satpuda Maikal landscape. Earlier this was a game reserve but then in the year 1970, it was given the status of national park or wildlife sanctuary. This was done purposely to conserve and safeguard the rich biodiversity while support the dense population of panther and tigers.
Bor Tiger Reserve is located in isolated hills of Wardha valley that lie in the foot hills of Satpuda.
The ideal time to visit Bor Tiger Reserve is during April to May.
