Mukundara Tiger Reserve is a popular tiger reserve which was announced by the government of India in August 2012. Earlier it was known as Mukundara Hills National Park. This tiger reserve encompasses three wildlife national parks â Chambal, Jawahar Sagar and Darrah. This tiger reserve was a hunting preserve which belonged to Maharaja of Kota. As a thickly forested tiger reserve, it lies along the southeastern border of Kota, Rajasthan.

Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve is a 5th largest tiger reserve, as announced by the government of India. Presently this tiger reserve is spread on an area of 250 sq km but it is announced that it will further be expanded to 759 sq kms. The reserve is expected to put at ease the big cat populace in Rajasthan, which will cover Chambal, Jawahar Sagar and Darrah.

Sanganer Airport is located in Jaipur which is approximately 245 kms away from main city Kota. On reaching this airport, you can hire a cab and reach Kota and then further move ahead for Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve.
Kota is the nearest railway station which is located near Mukundara Hill Tiger Reserve. It is well connected to Delhi, Mumbai and other main cities of the country. Different express, passengers, and super fast trains run from and to Kota.
There are Rajasthan Road Transport Corporation buses which connect Kota to different cities. Upon reaching Kota through any of these modes of conveyance, you can hire a jeep, taxi, or private cab and reach this Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve,
