Kanpur: The zoo may soon become proud owner of new variety of animals such as wild dog, star tortoise, white tiger, wolf and pheasants. Kanpur zoo is in an advanced stage of talk with different zoos across the country to get these animals. Under the animal exchange programme, the zoo will get these animals. Two and a half years after the formation of Telangana, the Kawal Tiger Reserve and the Amrabad Tiger Reserve will finally have their official custodians working from offices in the field and not from the city. JAIPUR: While tiger population is under threat at most national parks in the country, Ranthambore Tiger Reserve (RTR) is falling short of space to house a booming tiger population.
