Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar on Wednesday said there are preliminary reports suggesting Jai, the biggest tiger in the state, has wandered in the neighbourhood corridor of Pauni (Bhandara district) in Vidarbha region. MANDLA: A tigress was killed in the Soopkhar range of the famous Kanha Tiger Reserve in a suspected territorial fight with another feline, a forest official said today. The carcass of the tigress, aged about seven-nine years, was spotted by the beat guard following which he informed the senior forest officials about it, Kanha Tiger Reserve's Field Director J S Chouhan said. Man Killed By Tiger In Kanha Tiger Reserve

MANDLA: A 70-year-old tribal man was killed by a tiger in the buffer zone of Kanha Tiger Reserve, officials said on Saturday. A tiger on Friday mauled to death Raja Ram at the buffer zone close to Khatia forest range of the park, said Kanha Tiger Reserve Field Director JS Chauhan.
